Almost everyone involved in Taipei disc cleared out the weekend of April 23-24 to travel to Korea for the Jeju Dirty Dozens 2011 tournament. Taipei sent 3 teams in total, 2 of which included Renegade players. Check out a somewhat more complete summary here about both teams and here for details from Britt on Whisby Nation's performance. Whisby Nation snatched second place at Jeju.
Whisby Nation, a hybrid of Renegade players, NTSU (college) players, and some international additions, made it into Jeju finals on Sunday afternoon before losing on universe point to take second place.
The team Renegade included Taipei's expat players, as well as a few from outside Taipei. While they didn't quite make it to the finals, they did accomplish a lot elsewhere.... - // Paul photobombed the team picture with his nubbin. Ew.
- // George beat women on the field and reportedly off the field.
- // Joann lost horribly at submarine.
- // Paul challenged everyone to a pepper-eating contest, only to end up eating peppers by himself most of the time.
- // Mainland, George, Rosey, and Ben Hoff apparently shared a moment in the sauna. Bromance-ing?
- // And Paul tackled a chick.
Renegade with the Tokyo team, sans Paul's nubbin. (Disappointed?) |
